Tips for eating instant noodles mixed with rice to be healthier


Kompas.com – At dawn, many people choose food that is quickly cooked to save time. One option that is often taken is instant noodles, which are easy to make and delicious.

To be more filling, instant noodles are often combined with rice. However, this combination is actually less healthy if consumed excessively.

Instant noodles and rice both contain high amounts of carbohydrates. If consumed together, calorie intake in the body will increase dramatically.

This can cause excessive weight gain, even at risk of causing obesity.

In addition, obesity can increase the risk of serious diseases such as the heart, high cholesterol, and diabetes.

How to eat instant noodles mixed rice to make it healthier

Although it is less recommended, it does not mean you have to fully avoid eating instant noodles with rice. There are several ways that can be done to stay healthy:

The average woman needs 2,000 calories per day, while men need 2,500 calories. If you want to eat instant noodles with rice, make sure the amount is not much, so that the calories that enter do not exceed your daily needs.

Even though you can control calories, it doesn’t mean you can consume instant noodles and rice every day.

Instant noodles contain high salt, which if consumed excessively can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and stomach cancer.

Add sources of protein and fiber

To balance nutrients, add protein such as eggs, tofu, or chicken. In addition, consumption of vegetables such as spinach, carrots, or cabbage in order to get fiber, vitamins, and minerals that the body needs.

If you want to keep enjoying this combination, reduce the portion of rice or instant noodles so that carbohydrate intake is not excessive.

For example, use half a portion of rice and one portion of instant noodles to keep it balanced, and multiply the portion of side dishes.
