Jakarta, Kompas.com – McDonalds (MCD) fast food restaurants distribute 500 free breakfast for MCD customers on Monday (2/24/2025) in the framework of the 13th National Breakfast Day MCD.
This program took place at 305 MCD outlets simultaneously starting at 06.00 WIB until 11.00 WIB.

“So today you share free breakfast at 305 of our participating restaurants, we share free breakfast in the form of Chicken Muffin, each of these restaurants 500 Chicken Muffin,” said McDonald’s Associate Director of McDonald’s, Caroline Kurniadjaja during a press conference at MCD Salemba Branch Branch Raya, Central Jakarta, Monday (2/24/2025).
Caroline said, this initiative was carried out to introduce the MCD breakfast menu to customers, as well as inviting the people of Indonesia to realize how important breakfast.
“For 13 years we have consistently doing national breakfast day, so that it helps remind the public how important breakfast is,” said Caroline.
Donations for renovating sports facilities

Different from last year which was held in March, this year the National Breakfast Day was held at the end of February 2025 because it considers March has entered the month of Ramadan.
Not only in terms of time, the difference between the National Breakfast Day MCD event this year with the previous year is the target that is intended as the recipient of MCD assistance.
Caroline said, every customer who received a free muffin chicken, included contributing Rp. 5,000 on behalf of consumers to the recipients of assistance.
“Last year we contributed to the foundation selected by the local restaurant. Maybe we could go to the orphanage, the Werdha Orphanage, and other foundations,” Caroline said.

This year, he continued, every Rp. 5,000 donated by each consumer will be donated to renovate sports facilities in schools in need.
The reason, because Caroline, based on input from various branches of MCD outlets, many schools with sports facilities that are not in accordance with standards.
“Therefore, this year we want to give donation money from consumer participation to renovate the school facilities. So that students can do sports activities more comfortably,” Caroline said.
