Park Hyatt Jakarta will serve various menus with Middle Eastern culinary inspiration, Nusantara and several other menus that are commonly sought by guests in the buffet at the Dining Room restaurant located on the 22nd floor during Ramadan.
Chef Akbar from Park Hyatt Jakarta said, the Middle East menu was chosen because he saw the phenomenon of people who often eat typical Middle Eastern cuisine when breaking the fast.
“Ramadhan is usually people will look for a place to eat that provides middle or more choices to Arabic cuisine. So in addition to Indonesia, we also provide the middle East options too,” said Chef Akbar at Park Hyatt Jakarta, Tuesday (18/2/2/ 2025).
The Middle East menu served also adjusts to the Indonesian tongue, considering the typical Middle East food is quite strong and aromatic spices, such as from curry, cardamom, cinnamon and others. Herb and Spices have indeed become the advantage of Nusantara and Middle East cuisine, but with different characteristics.
“Adjustment of taste, of course we will do the adjustment. If you follow the Arab standards really, surely people know very well the spices,” he said.
In addition, guests can also taste Italian flavor with various pasta such as spaghetti, penne that can be served according to taste such as Carbonara or Aglio Olio. There are also other menus that complement buffet such as sushi, wagyu, dimsum and others.
The iftar menu starts from a variety of appetizer choices, one of which is certainly always targeted when breaking the fast like a variety of fried foods, as well as fresh vegetable and pickled vegetable menus.
