After a week of enjoying Chinese food in China, Mama Yulita Intan finally returned to the kitchen with a typical Indonesian menu. This time, through his TikTok account, @yulitaintann, he shared a unique recipe: vegetable lodeh salmon. This creation combines the authentic flavors of traditional dishes with modern ingredients that are appetizing.
Mama Yulita admitted that she was inspired to make vegetable lodeh because she missed Indonesian food. Even though it is simple, this menu is still special thanks to the addition of salmon fillet which is rich in nutrients. By utilizing ingredients available in the refrigerator, this recipe is very easy for anyone to follow, even those who are just learning to cook.
Ingredients:
– 250 gr salmon fillet
– 1 chayote, grated thickly lengthwise
– 2 purple eggplants, peeled and soaked so they don’t turn black
– 1 bunch long beans, cut into pieces
– 5 pieces of white tofu, cut into cubes
– 15 whole cayenne peppers
– 1 tomato, thinly sliced
– 850 ml of water
– 120 ml instant coconut milk (Kara)
– 2 packets of ready-to-use seasoning. TASTE MASA vegetable lodeh
– A little salt according to taste
How to make:
1. Boil water and coconut milk until boiling, add salt to taste.
2. Add vegetables: long beans, chayote, eggplant, white tofu, cayenne pepper and tomatoes.
3. Add the ready-to-use TASA MASA vegetable lodeh seasoning, then stir until evenly mixed.
4. Finally, add the salmon fillet and cook until completely cooked.
5. Stir briefly, and the salmon lodeh vegetables are ready to be served!
