Fasting at the beginning of the month of Ramadan often feels weak. This could be because of the inappropriate selection of food. Avoid some foods that trigger weak day.
At dawn, try to choose a balanced nutritious food to be able to provide the body’s energy for the next 13-14 hours. That way, weakness and lethargy can be avoided.
The following menu should not be included in the meal menu because it actually makes you limp:
1. Fried chicken
Its crispy texture makes fried chicken a favorite side dish. Fried chicken is also easy to prepare because you can marinate at night, save it in the refrigerator and then fried ahead of the meal. But this menu is actually not fitting for the meal menu.

“Although this dish is good, eating it can make people feel lethargic. Fried foods, such as fried chicken, can be difficult to digest and tend to be more ‘heavy’ food. The combination of fat and salt used can make people burdened and do not feel fresh,” explained Lauren Manaker, diet expert and writer, as quoted by Eat This, Not That!.
2. Bread

Many people dawn by eating white bread or load bread because it is practical. But you should choose white bread from wheat or seeds, not ordinary white bread.
White bread is usually made from refined grains that have lost a lot of nutrients during the process. In contrast to bread from whole grains that still maintain the content of fiber, vitamins and minerals on the skin.
“Refined seeds such as white bread and white paste contribute to decreased energy. They are quickly digested, making blood sugar levels soaring. When blood sugar suddenly drops, the energy level decreases,” explained Lisa Young, a nutritionist.
3. Banana
This one fruit is very well consumed especially after exercising. Bananas contain tryptophan, potassium and magnesium so that it is effective in relaxing muscles and reducing anxiety. This is very good for health, but not good for excessive consumption at dawn.
To avoid these side effects, you should combine bananas with high protein food and B vitamins for energy supply. You can combine bananas with almond jam or shake protein.
4. Energy bar and granola
Practical and able to provide energy quickly makes people choose energy bars and granolas to start the day. Not infrequently both of them are used as a practical meal menu.
Enough a bowl of granola plus milk is able to make the stomach full and energized.
However, pay attention to sugar levels in each product. Additional sugar for dawn is certainly not recommended because you will be weak all day. Choose a product that contains a little or without additional sugar.
5. Burger

Burger looks able to meet your needs thanks to the layer of meat, a little vegetable and bread that contains carbohydrates.
But don’t expect your nutritional needs to be met from burgers. Instead the body will feel heavy and sleepy after dining.
“Carbohydrates with a little even have almost no fiber, such as white bread, giving us energy quickly in the form of glucose but this can result in drastic energy decreases,” explained Keri Grans, a nutritionist.
