4 Ways to Make Vanilla Ice Cream Using Eggs, Avoid Mistakes of Indonesian Masterchef Participants 12


KOMPAS.com – Vanilla ice cream made by Kirana, Indonesian Masterchef participants Season 12, received spicy comments from the judges in the latest episode, Saturday (3/15/2025).

The three Indonesian masterchef judges agreed that Kirana’s vanilla ice cream had a very strong egg yolk taste.

In fact, according to Karina, she only uses 20 grams of egg yolk for one vanile ice cream recipe.

So, how to make vanilla ice cream so it doesn’t smell of eggs?

Reported from The KitchanSaturday (3/15/2025), eggs acts as a classic vanilla ice cream thicker to provide a softer texture.

The more egg yolks used, the richer and the soft ice cream is made.

Meanwhile, the smaller number of egg yolks, produces a lighter and less soft ice cream texture.

1. Heat the eggs with milk

The process of heating eggs with other ice cream ingredients, must be right so as not to clot and affect the texture and taste of ice cream when eaten.

The trick, heat the milk, then shake the hot milk into the eggs and sugar until the eggs are warm and do not clot.

Perform this process in a pan with the remaining milk and continue by cooking a mixture of ingredients using low fire.
