8 ingredients that make coffee more healthy, don’t forget to add


Kompas.com – For many people, the day cannot be started without a cup of warm coffee. However, the additions that are often used to increase the taste of coffee are not always healthy.

The good news, there are many alternatives that are better for your health without sacrificing the pleasure of your favorite coffee.

Here are eight additional healthy that can improve the quality of your coffee.

1. Honey

If you like the sweet taste in coffee, honey can be a healthier choice. Honey contains antioxidants and has antimicrobial properties.

Although natural, honey still contains sugar which can affect blood sugar levels, so consume wisely.

2. Cocoa powder

Adding cocoa powder without sugar to coffee can provide delicious chocolate flavor without the addition of sugar.

Cocoa is rich in antioxidants such as polyphenols which can help reduce inflammation and even reduce pain in the body.

3. Vegetable milk

Vegetable milk such as almonds, oats, soybeans, or cashews can be a healthy alternative for cow’s milk. Choose vegetable milk that is low in additional ingredients and without additional sugar.

Vegetable milk enriched with calcium and vitamin D can be a good choice to support bone health.

4. Vanilla extract

To add a natural sweet aroma and taste without sugar, you can try vanilla extract.
