How to make compote without coconut milk

  1. Boil 1.5 liters of water with brown sugar until dissolved.
  2. Strain the sugar water, then put it back in the pan.
  3. Add fresh milk or coconut water, stir until mixed.
  4. Add pandan leaves, cloves, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Add bananas and fro, then cook over low heat.
  6. Cook until the banana is tender and the spices are absorbed, about 20 minutes.
  7. Remove and serve compote without coconut milk while warm or cold.
