Christian Widodo officially served as Mayor of Kupang for the 2025-2030 period. Christian Widodo along with other elected regional heads were inaugurated directly by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (2/20/2025).

Profile of Kupang Mayor Christian Widodo
Christian Widodo was born in Kupang, November 16, 1986. He is the second child of Theodorus Widodo and Theresia Avila. He has two brothers, namely Irene Widodo (brother) and Jane Fransisca Widodo (younger brother).
Christian married Widya Light. His second marriage was blessed with three children, namely Dwayne Rafael Widodo, Denzel Mikhael Widodo, and Chiara Abigail Widodo.
Christian Widodo’s education and career
Christian once received education at SDK Don Bosco III Kupang. He then continued his education to LLTP STA Theresia Kupang and SMAK Kolese Santo Yusup Malang. After that, he won a doctor’s degree from Tarumanegara University, Jakarta.
As a doctor, Christian has various experiences in the medical field. He was once appointed as a 2018 Asian Games doctor for boxing.
In addition, he also established and managed several businesses in the field of health and trade. One of the businesses owned by Christian, the Kupang Graha Media Clinic. This clinic is one of the best level 1 health facilities versions of BPJS Health.
Christian also has an anakici, a baby and child supplies that developed rapidly in the city of Kupang.
Christian Widodo’s political career
Besides being a doctor, Christian Widodo is also a politician. He joined the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) and now serves as Chairman of the PSI DPW NTT Province.
Christian Widodo’s career in politics is quite moncer. He even served twice as a member of the NTT DPRD, namely in the 2019 and 2024 legislative elections.
Now, with a background as a doctor, businessman, and politician, Dr. Christian Widodo is ready to carry out the responsibility as Mayor of Kupang 2024-2029 with his deputy, Serena Francis. He is expected to be able to bring positive changes and improve the welfare of the people of Kupang City.
