TRIBUNNEWS.COM, PALEMBANG – South Sumatra Regional Police are investigating reports related to the cooking content of rendang meat uploaded by the creator content Willie Salim.
The content highlighted the incident of the loss of 200 kg of rendang meat during the cooking process at the Kuto Besak Fort, Palembang.
South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Criminal Investigation Commissioner Bagus Suropratomo Oktobrianto revealed that so far there have been two reports addressed to Willie Salim.

The police are still conducting an investigation to prove violations and defamation of the city of Palembang.

Kasubdit V Tipid Siber AKBP Dwi Utomo stated that his party had requested information from three witnesses related to the report.
“One of the witnesses who knew the incident or was at the scene. Do not rule out the possibility that Willie Salim will also be called,” Dwi said when contacted via telephone.
Dwi added that his party still needed several other witnesses to complete the information and files from the report made.
“There has been no confirmation regarding the witnesses that we will call today. Socio -cultural activists and civilians will be called. Only after that we will ask for information,” he explained.

Palembang residents’ responses
One report that entered the South Sumatra Regional Police was made by Ryan Gumay from Ryan Gumay Lawfirm.
He stated that as an original Palembang citizen, he felt he did not accept the content.
“The report that we make is to emphasize the legal measures for Creator Willie Salim so that there is a deterrent effect as well as a lesson for other creators who are intentionally creating content without considering the legal consequences as well as the social impacts caused,” said Ryan.
