KOMPAS.com – Mie Gacoan Restaurant, located in Serpong, South Tangerang (South Tangerang), was sealed by the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) on Friday (21/2/2025).
The action was taken because the restaurant that had just been opened did not have the approval of the Building (PBG), which is a mandatory requirement for every business building in the area.
What is PBG and why important?
PBG is a document issued by the Regional Government which states that a building has met the technical and legality requirements to be established and used.

As part of the regulations listed in the Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 3 of 2023 Article 109, PBG must be owned by each business entity operating in South Tangerang.
It aims to ensure that buildings used for business activities have met safety, health and environmental standards.
Civil Servant Investigator (PPNS) Satpol PP South Tangerang City, Suherman, explained that the sealing of the Gacoan noodle restaurant was carried out because the project did not yet have a valid PBG.
“It was sealed because the permit or PBG did not yet exist,” Suherman said when contacted by Kompas.com on Monday (2/24/2025).

How is the sealing process done?
This sealing does not occur without a clear reason. Suherman revealed that even though the restaurant manager had submitted a PBG application, the issuance process was still ongoing.
Therefore, the restaurant is prohibited from operating until the PBG permit is officially issued.
“So, they have taken care of PBG, just haven’t come down. Later, after PBG has been issued, they can apply for an open seal to Satpol PP, and can only return to operation,” Suherman said further.
In the sealing process, Suherman ensured that there was no resistance from the restaurant management. A total of 20 personnel were deployed to carry out sealing without obstacles.
“Yesterday there was no resistance. There were about 20 personnel on duty during the sealing. For personnel, the sub -district was only a copy,” said Suherman.

The Seal Gacoan Serpong Noodle Restaurant is a new restaurant that has never received similar sanctions before.
This sealing process will affect the restaurant’s operations, which must wait for the PBG permit that is being managed before being able to return to operation.
