JAKARTA – Egg martabak has become one of the snacks of Indonesian society. Usually egg martabak is filled with chicken eggs or duck eggs, minced meat and spring onions.

For outer skin, egg martabak using flour mixture. However, there are also those who use spring roll skin which is considered more practical.

Well, this time MNC Portal will provide another idea for making egg martabak, where the martabak skin is made from white bread.

Using plain bread as a substitute for spring roll skin certainly makes this egg martabak more filling.

White Bread Egg Martabak Recipe

Material:
8 slices of peeled white bread
1 spring onion
⅓ onion
200 gr ground beef
3 eggs
1 tsp curry powder
¾ tsp salt
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp stock powder / flavoring
¼ tsp pepper
Cooking oil

Complementary:
Pickles

Step:
1. Cut the onion into small cubes and slice the green onions
2. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, spring onions, onions, curry powder, salt, sugar, stock powder and pepper, stir well
3. Add eggs, stir until combined
4. Prepare the bread, add the meat mixture and spread evenly then cover again with the bread

5. Split the bread in half then spread the dough that sticks to the edges of the bread
6. Heat the fritters, fry the bread martabak over medium low heat until browned then bake at 160 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes
7. White bread egg martabak is ready to be served
