Wedang sinden is made from a number of ingredients, including ginger, galangal and lemongrass. All three benefit the body’s immune system, as well as helping prevent the effects of free radicals.
It is said that this wedang got its name because in the past kencur was often eaten by sinden so that their voices would be clear. Galangal is also useful for helping relieve coughs with phlegm and shortness of breath.

- 10 grams galangal (washed, sliced)
- 20 gr ginger (washed, sliced)
- 1 stalk lemongrass (washed, sliced)
- 250 ml boiling water
- Honey to taste
- Orange juice to taste
- Put the galangal slices, ginger and lemongrass into the glass. Pour in boiling water, then cover the glass for about 10 minutes.
- Open the lid of the glass, serve wedang sinden with honey and orange juice.
