“Breakfasts like this are delicious because they are rich in protein, which is good for musculoskeletal health. Vegetables provide lots of vitamins and antioxidants, as well as fiber, which is good for gut health. Apart from that, healthy fats from avocado or salmon are very good for heart and cognitive health,” explained Sehgal. .
A scientific study involving more than 18,000 adults found that eating eggs regularly was not only associated with lower mortality rates, but also significantly reduced overall mortality rates.
Regarding vegetables, a vegetarian or vegetable-based diet is associated with a reduced risk of many life-threatening chronic diseases.
Dr. Monisha Bhanote, a doctor and longevity expert, also likes to eat plant-based breakfasts. However, he has a different menu, namely coconut yogurt with flaxseed and blueberry topping.

As is known, sweet potatoes are the staple food of people in Okinawa, Japan who are famous for their long lives. This type of tuber is rich in antioxidants which help protect the body from chronic inflammation.
In general, the three experts say that it is important to avoid ultra-processed foods and fatty meats such as sausages or bacon for breakfast. Because these foods increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and certain types of cancer.
Also avoid foods with added sugar such as cereal, flavored yogurt, and cookies. It’s better to focus on a breakfast menu of whole, nutrient-dense foods that provide a balance of healthy fats, protein and complex carbohydrates.
