KOMPAS.com – Dabu dabu sambal is a typical food from Manado, North Sulawesi.
This chili sauce tastes spicy, sour and fresh, so it is suitable to accompany a number of side dishes, for example grilled fish, fried fish or grilled squid.

- 3 limes
- 2 fresh tomatoes (cut into small dice)
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil (heat)
- 10 red onions (coarsely crushed)
- 10 red chilies (coarsely ground)
- 2 cayenne peppers (coarsely ground)
- Salt to taste
- Mix the coarsely ground ingredients with the chopped tomatoes, then pour in the hot oil.
- Add salt and lime juice. Check the taste to see if it suits your taste. Serve.
