JAKARTA – This time Yulita Intan sharing a very easy and delicious Tom Yum Seafood recipe! Tom Yum is a typical Thai dish which is famous for its sour, spicy and savory taste.

Yulita chooses filling ingredients such as shrimp, squid, crab sticks and mushrooms, and uses shrimp shells to make a rich broth.

In the first process, Yulita processes the shrimp shells to make stock by roasting and mashing them, then boiling them. This broth is the basis for Tom Yum soup which gives it a rich and savory taste.

After that, the ground spices consisting of shallots, garlic, lime leaves and red chilies, are sauteed until fragrant. Don’t forget, Yulita added a packet of instant Tom Yum paste, ginger, lemongrass, lime leaves and other aromatic spices.

One of Yulita’s tricks is adding evaporated milk to get a creamier and tastier Tom Yum sauce. If you don’t have evaporated milk, you can use liquid milk or even skip it to make the Tom Yum sauce fresher.

Yulita also ensures that the shrimp and squid are not cooked for too long so that they remain soft and delicious.
