JAKARTA – Toffin Indonesia is again holding a training program food & beverage (F&B) second episode entitled Toffin Masterclass 2.0. This program is aimed at developing skills, insight and business networks for baristas, mixologists, pastry chefs, and local cafe and restaurant business owners in 13 small cities in Indonesia.

After the success of the previous program three months ago, Toffin Masterclass 2.0 will take place from July to September 2024 in Bukit Tinggi, Yogyakarta, Batam, Cirebon, Balikpapan, Palangkaraya, Banjarbaru, Malang, Siantar, Lombok, Pare-pare, Palopo, and Bone. This training targets junior baristas, novice mixologists, home bakers, professional bakers, and local brands to increase the competitiveness of their profession and business.

Ario Fajar, Head of Marketing Toffin Indonesia, stated that the skills and knowledge gap between small towns and big cities is the main focus of Toffin Masterclass 2.0 this time. “Lack of facilities and access to training as well as the high cost of learning are the main obstacles. “This activity is expected to improve professional level skills, competitiveness, and create a competitive business,” said Ario.

Toffin Masterclass 2.0 provides training taught directly by experienced mentors in their fields. The theme this time is ‘Celebrating Local Business Community’, which emphasizes the importance of local businesses to compete nationally and even globally. One of the mentors involved is Patrik Vinsensius, Champion of the 2023 Indonesian Barista Championship, who will provide training on specialty coffee and the basics of baristas.

Apart from Patrik, other mentors include Chef Owner Dick Derian from Locaahands Group Surabaya, who has a wealth of achievements in the culinary field, and Arey Barker who will teach the basics of mixing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Other big names who are also mentors are Willy Sidewalk, Viki Rahardja, Yudhizt Papa, Ayup Dzuhri, and Taufik Nuh.

Toffin Masterclass 2.0 also received support from Arummi, the first local cashew milk in Indonesia, as the official plant based milk product for all classes. Nacitta Kanyandara, CEO of PT Teknologi Nutrimen Sehat (Arummi), stated, “Toffin Masterclass is the right moment to build business networks and provide opportunities for F&B industry players to try Arummi products.”

Toffin Masterclass 2.0 tickets are sold for IDR 150 thousand per class or IDR 250 thousand for two classes, with various benefits such as digital certificates, presentation modules, food, merchandise kits and sponsor kits. Classes are approximately 90 minutes long with three main segments: presentation, practice, and question and answer, and are designed exclusively with a maximum of 25 participants per class depending on location.
