This condition can be overcome by consuming nutrient-rich foods. For example, foods that contain antioxidants, important compounds, and are high in water content.

Quoted from Real Simple (17/09/24) here are 5 foods to reduce gas in the stomach:

1. Papaya

Papaya not only tastes sweet, but also has benefits. Papaya is a medicine for healthy digestion. That’s because papaya contains an enzyme called papain.

“Papain is a powerful digestive enzyme that helps break down proteins in the digestive tract,” said nutritionist Mercola.

He added that papaya can reduce undigested food from being fermented by gas-producing bacteria. Regularly snacking on papaya can also help eliminate a lot of gas.

2. Ginger

Ginger is generally used as a kitchen spice to enhance the aroma and taste of dishes. However, apart from that, ginger is useful for digestive problems caused by gas.

Mercola explained that there are active compounds in ginger. “The compounds are called gingerol and shogaol, both of which have strong anti-inflammatory and carminative properties,” he said.

You can get this benefit by brewing ginger in hot water, or mixing it into tea. Apart from reducing gas, ginger can also warm the stomach.
