The Sikka General Election Commission (KPU) will hold a plenary meeting to determine the elected regent and deputy regent candidate pair (Paslon) today, Wednesday (5/2/2025). The determination was held after the Constitutional Court (MK) rejected the lawsuit for the results of the Sikka 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada).
“In accordance with the decision of the dismisal yesterday, we are currently preparing to determine the candidate pair of regents and deputy regents elected,” said Chairman of the Sikka KPU, Herimanto, told detikbaliWednesday morning.
To note, the Constitutional Court judge could not receive a dispute over the results of the Sikka 2024 Regent Election.
Constitutional Justice Enny Nurbaningsih revealed the reasons for the Court to reject the lawsuit. According to him, the applicant filed a lawsuit through the deadline that had been determined based on Law Number 10 of 2016 concerning the Election of Governors, Regents, and Mayors and Constitutional Court Regulations (PMK) Number 3 of 2024.
“Therefore, with regard to other exceptions and the legal position and principal of the Petitioner’s request as well as things that are not considered because they are considered there is no relevance,” Enny said in his statement as quoted from the official website of the Constitutional Court.
Previously, the Constitutional Court had held a preliminary examination session related to the Sikka Pilbup results on January 14. Meanwhile, the plaintiff argued that the violation in the holding of the 2024 Sikka Pilbup. Plaintiff assessed that Paslon number 4 Juventus Prima Yoris Kago-Simon Subandi Supriadi was disqualified as a participant ) in Sikka Regency.
Sikka 2024 Pilbup was attended by four contestants, namely candidate pair number 1 Francis Roberto Diogo-Martinus Wodon; Paslon number 2 Suitbertus Amandus-Robertus Ray; candidate pair number 3 mekeng p florianus-alfridus melanus aeng; and candidate pair number 4 Juventus Prima Yoris Kago-Simon Subandi Supriadi.
