He admitted that he cooks around 30 kilograms of rice for soto every day. On weekends, the amount of rice cooked is even greater, up to 65 kilograms.
He is grateful that customers keep coming back to buy the soto served at his stall. The soup he makes is made clear, from chicken stock.
“This is its characteristic, the soto is clear and tastes delicious,” he said.
One portion of chicken soup is priced at IDR 20 thousand. Apart from soto, there are also many side dishes available such as boiled free-range chicken eggs, perkedel, skin crackers and various other side dishes.
This soto is legendary and is often a reference for figures. Including former PBNU Chairman KH Said Aqil Siradj who also likes to eat this legendary soto.
Kiai. Said admitted that he always patronizes soto at this place, because it tastes delicious and tasty.
“It’s delicious, I often come here. It tastes delicious, after I eat it,” said Kiai Said while in Kediri.
Aji, another buyer also admitted that he was addicted to eating this soto. Even though there are many soto that can be used as references in Kediri, Soto Podjok’s culinary delights are still legendary.
“The price is a bit expensive compared to other soto, but the taste is delicious and savory. I like it,” said Aji.
