
DENPASAR, BALIPOST.com – Takjil Market which was present during the month of Ramadan on Jl. Ahmad Yani, Dauh Puri Kaja, Denpasar is a favorite place to hunt for breaking fast food. The market which is open every 16.00 WITA is always crowded because various types of takjil can be purchased there.
Sabrina, a Kurnia orange ice trader from Tabanan, said that the best -selling types of takjil in the month of Ramadan are fried foods, satay, and cimol.
Sabrina revealed the biggest challenge faced in selling was the crowd of visitors that made the market atmosphere narrow and unfriendly hot weather.
“The biggest challenge when selling is crammed with people and the weather is hot,” Sabrina said when met at her selling stalls, Tuesday (11/3).
Meanwhile, Husnul, who sells various takjils such as fried foods, samosas, spring rolls, and compote, acknowledged that the type of merchandise is almost the same, making it quite difficult to attract buyers. He relies on taste as a differentiator from other traders, with Sus cakes into one of its flagship products.
“The challenge that I face in selling takjil is because the merchandise seems to be almost the same, so we rely on the taste, because what makes it different,” said Husnul.
Nita, another trader from Denpasar, who also sells various takjil, revealed that uncertain weather is also a challenge. Because, when it rains generally the market becomes empty of visitors.
“(Challenges, red) faced during the current sales did not exist, except yesterday during the rainy season the visitors were quiet,” said Nita.

Even so, their hopes remain great. Sabrina hopes to achieve the desired sales target, while Husnul wants more people to know about his sales. While Nita hopes that market facilities will improve in the future.
Aulia, one of the visitors from Sempidi, revealed specifically coming to the takjil market because of the crowd and an interesting atmosphere. Although he only visited this year once, he admitted that he often came to the takjil market every year.
“Because it is crowded who visited this market, so I was curious. Indeed, every year I also came here, once or twice to this place,” said Aulia.
Aulia’s favorite takjil during Ramadan is cantaloupe ice. He chose takjil based on the appearance, such as potato donuts that have characteristics compared to donuts made from ordinary flour.
Rina, another visitor from Denpasar, also claimed that almost every day visiting the Takjil Market. Rina likes various takjil variants sold, especially Samosa, Risol Mayo, and Satean.
