JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta, held a free iftar during Ramadhan 2025.
Thousands of servings of boxed rice are distributed to the pilgrims who come to the mosque with different quota every day.

“There are 3,500, 5,500, and 6,500 Box rice every Monday-Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and Sunday at the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta,” said Chairman of the Amaliyah Mosque Committee Masjid Mas’ud Halimin when met when met Kompas.com at the location, Sunday (2/3/2025).

Mas’ud admitted that not all Muslims who came to the Istiqlal Mosque, could get this free iftar menu.

“Later, in the last 10 days of Ramadan, there is also a meal together. Usually, not all pilgrims get food because the number (pilgrims) is very large,” he added.
