Banana Bread Pudding Recipe
Material:
- 4 slices of white bread, cut into 4 pieces each
- 1 plantain/ambon, cut into pieces
- 2 chicken eggs
- 200 ml liquid milk
- 50 ml thick cream (thickened cream)
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 50 g granulated sugar
- Sultanas/raisins to taste
- Enough butter for greasing
How to Make Banana Bread Pudding
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a dish or ramekin measuring 28 cm x 20 cm x 3 cm with butter until evenly coated. Set aside.
- Place half the slices of white bread on the bottom of the dish, arrange half the banana slices on top, then sprinkle with sultanas or raisins.
- Cover with the remaining white bread, arrange the bananas again on top, then sprinkle again with raisins. Set aside.
- Beat the eggs until fluffy, then add the heavy cream, liquid milk, cinnamon and granulated sugar. Beat well for 5 minutes using a mixer at high speed.
- Pour the egg and milk mixture into the dish until evenly distributed, then let sit for 15 minutes so that the liquid soaks into the bread.
- Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes until cooked and brown. Remove and serve while warm.
