Roadside stall Solong coffee located in Ulee Kareng, Banda Aceh. This two-door coffee shop is open from 06.00 WIB to 23.00 WIB. Here, regular black coffee, sanger (coffee mixed with milk and a little sugar) and other blended coffees are available.

Especially for coffee, Solong coffee has a unique taste and aroma. The black color of the coffee is not too dark, but the bitter taste is quite strong when it touches the tongue. The aroma of the coffee is also not as strong as other coffees. The price of coffee itself is sold at IDR 7,000 per glass.

Here, apart from coffee, visitors are also served snacks such as fried foods and other snacks. In front of the stall, there are also various foods available such as lontong, rice and others. Visitors just need to order from the stall waiter.
“I came here to drink coffee out of curiosity after getting a recommendation from a friend. When I arrived in Aceh I came here and the taste of the coffee here is a bit different. The bitterness is more pronounced,” said a shop visitor. Solong coffeeAnto Herianto who claimed to be from Medan, when met by detikcom, Thursday (16/8/2018).
Anto admitted that he had traveled to Aceh with several friends two days ago. In Banda Aceh, he had coffee at Solong several times. According to him, the aroma of coffee in the shop, which has been open since 1974, is different from coffee shops outside Aceh.
“When I go home, I also plan to buy coffee powder here,” explained Anto.

Meanwhile, a resident of Banda Aceh, Rahmat Fajri, admitted that he often hangs out at Solong coffee shops. Even if guests come from outside, he takes them to the legendary coffee shop.
“The coffee is delicious, a little bit hard and the coffee tastes bitter. It tastes great,” explained Fajri.
According to him, Solong coffee tastes better if you order pancong. The meaning of pancong here is that the coffee is half a glass and the price is also cheaper.
“Especially for pancong, the coffee tastes even better because the coffee is thicker,” said Fajri.
The Solong coffee shop is actually called Jasa Ayah and has been around since 1974. At that time there were only a few coffee shops in Banda Aceh. The Solong coffee shop in the Simpang Tujung Ulee Kareng area, Banda Aceh, was not as busy as it is now.
This coffee shop is now managed by Haji Nawawi, the second generation owner Solong Coffeethis became famous since the 90s. Now, if there are guests from outside, including officials from Jakarta, they often stop and have coffee in Solong. Among those who have had coffee there are Anies Baswedan when he was Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud), Rizal Ramli, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
