Six restaurants from South Korea are present at the FLEI Jakarta 2024 exhibition

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Korean Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT Center) participated in the Franchise & License Expo Indonesia (FLEI) exhibition in Jakarta on 25 – 27 October 2024 by presenting six franchise restaurants from South Korea is ready to expand into the halal food market in Indonesia.

In an official statement in Jakarta, Saturday, the six franchise restaurants attending FLEI 2024 have gone through a long selection process from the AT Center. The six restaurants, namely Cravy for chicken (BY4MFNT Corp), Pizza Maru (Food Zone Co., LTD), Twozzim (KIYOUNG F&B), Bobaebanjum (BOBAE F&B CO., LTD), Yeok Jeon Halmaek (YEOK JEON FnC Inc.) , and Samcheop Bunsik (CGF Co., Ltd).

“So, there were hundreds of Korean restaurant brands that registered with us (aT Center), then we held a selection in the form of interviews until finally 6 restaurants were selected,” said Lee Seung-hoon as Chief Representative of the Korea Agro-Trade Center (aT Center) Jakarta.

“Incidentally, these companies also have a target of opening franchises abroad, so they are interested in taking part in this expo to find potential buyers in Indonesia,” he continued.

According to him, South Korean food has its own uniqueness, so it is hoped that it can compete with products from other countries (such as China and Japan). Apart from that, some Indonesian food has similarities with Korean food, so it will be easier for Korean restaurants to expand into Indonesia.

He added, “It’s just that many Korean foods are fermented and made from vegetables, so they are healthier than other foods. We think that is the advantage of our food to compete in the Indonesian market.”

“Our main goal is to introduce this restaurant brand to the Indonesian people, so that it has potential buyers and expands in Indonesia,” said Lee.
