Shin Tae-yong loves satay and oxtail soup since becoming the coach of the Indonesian national team

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The name of the coach of the Indonesian national team (national team) from South Korea, Shin Tae-yong, has become increasingly widely known after bringing the Garuda Team to become finalists in the 2020 AFF Cup in Singapore. Even though they failed to win the title, the enthusiastic game of Asnawi Mangkualam and his friends did not dampen the admiration of Indonesian people for him.

The former coach of the South Korean national team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia has become a popular figure in Indonesia. The Instagram account followers of this man who is familiarly called STY are also increasing and have reached more than 700 thousand.

Apart from football matters, many are curious about STY’s figure, including his favorite food. Since being appointed as coach of the Indonesian national team in January 2020, he has lived in Indonesia more often and rarely returned to South Korea, especially since the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world.

He also likes several typical Indonesian foods, such as oxtail soup, satai and fried rice. “Fried rice and satay are delicious,” he said in a podcast broadcast on Deddy Corbuzier’s YouTube account entitled ‘Shin Tae-yong-Exclusive d CloseTheDoor-Deddy Corbuzier Podcast’ on Tuesday, January 11 2022.

Through translator Jeong Seok Seo, he also said he liked oxtail soup. The reason is, the typical Indonesian oxtail soup tastes similar and can cure his longing for the culinary delights of his home country called galbi tang.

Hearing that, Deddy Corbuzier immediately ordered goat satay at a stall not far from his podcast studio. Shin Tae-yong was eager to enjoy the goat satay when it was served.
