Not only spicy and delicious, bulayak satay is also generally sold at affordable prices. One portion of Bulayak satay contains 10 to 15 skewers plus sliced cayenne pepper and squeezed orange.
There are six bulayak provided to accompany eating satay. To enjoy this satay, simply open the palm leaves wrapped around the bulayak, then dip the bulayak in peanut sauce.
The combination of savory bulayak and spicy peanut sauce produces the perfect flavor combination. The price for a portion is quite affordable, between Rp. 10,000-Rp. 15,000 and usually one portion is not enough to enjoy, it can take up to two portions because of the small size of the satay.
Initially, this satay was only found in Narmada District, West Lombok, and was served when celebrating Islamic holidays. However, currently Bulayak satay is being sold publicly and has spread to various places, especially tourist attractions and a number of other crowds.
“In fact, when you just leave Lombok International Airport, along the road you will find lots of carts and stalls selling this dish. If you go on holiday to Lombok, don’t forget to try this unique dish because you won’t find this culinary delight anywhere else. “Satai bulayak is easy to get in Mataram, the capital of NTB.”
Tourists can also find bulayak satay sellers at tourist locations such as Loan Baloq, Senggigi Beach, Aiknyet Park, Udayana Park, Malomba, Sangkareang, and Suranadi.
