BLOCK M has long been known as one of the culinary paradises of Jakartans. Why not, every day there are new culinary spots that appear there. Some of them even went viral.
Well, recently, another culinary spot has reappeared in Blok M, namely Misoa Story. In fact, the opening was attended directly by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.
On that occasion, Sandiaga said that Misoa Story, which had just opened its newest shop, could complete the culinary experience for tourists who come to the Pasaraya Blok M area, South Jakarta.
According to him, the transformation of the Blok M area over time has been extraordinary. Starting from the creative space M Bloc Space to the availability of MRT transportation which is integrated with other modes of transportation.

“And now what is no less exciting is culinary. So Misoa Story completes the culinary experience at Pasaraya Blok M,” said Sandi, at the Grand Opening of Misoa Story, Monday, September 16 2024.
The former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta also appreciated Misoa Story for presenting its new branch. Where Misoa means long life noodles and is a form of acculturation of Indonesian and Chinese culture which is usually referred to as Peranakan.
Peranakan culinary delights in Indonesia usually consist of dishes that use noodles, including noodles, vermicelli, laksa, kwetiau, pangsit noodles, misoa, and others.
“Several dozen years ago, I also ran a business with Mbak Nur (Sandiaga Uno’s wife), a Peranakan restaurant business and it turned out that many people were interested in it. Because we naturally like to eat Peranakan noodle food and it is in our culture,” he said.
