Sanda Beef, Halal Beef from Japan Served in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia


KOMPAS.com – For the first time, Japan exported sanda beefpremium beef with halal certification to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday (11/12/2024).

The shipment included a total of 250 kilograms of beef sirloin, rib roast, And tenderloin. These meats will later be served in luxury and royal restaurants in Saudi Arabia.

“This moment is our dream to export sanda beef. “We hope this will contribute further to the development of this region,” said Chairman of the Cattle Breeders Group of the Sandaniku Meat Distribution Development Association, Tetsuro Inui, as quoted by The MainichiWednesday (18/12/2024).

The shipment makes Japan the third country certified to send beef to Saudi Arabia, as reported by ArabNews.

Sanda beef is a type of beef Tajima produced by breeders in Sanda City and surrounding areas in Hyogo Prefecture.

However, production is hampered by a number of challenges, one of which is a decrease in the number of cattle sent due to the aging of breeders.

In Kita District, there has been a facility for processing beef based on Islamic law since 2014. It is called the Sanda Meat Center, which is operated by Sanda Shokuniku Kosha Co.

This beef brand has also received halal certification.

Please remember that beef in Saudi Arabia can only be consumed before it has been processed in a way that complies with religious regulations, and is certified halal.

Previously, Kobe beef (kobe ​​beef) produced in Hyogo Prefecture has also been exported to Islamic countries.
