Rice flour pasung cake recipe for celebration, soft and sweet


KOMPAS.com – Pasung rice flour cake is one of the traditional cakes that is often the choice to fill the celebration box.

With a unique shape like a contongment and a distinctive aroma of leaves, this cake is not only delicious but also provides a touch of nostalgia at every special event.

Pasung cake recipe

Material

  • 100 grams of rice flour
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 400 ml of coconut milk
  • Enough red coloring
  • Banana leaves or pandan leaves, shapes like a nude
  • Stabbing bamboo to save

How to make a pasung cake

  1. Mix rice flour, sugar, and coconut milk in a pan. Mix well until there is no lump.
  2. Heat the dough over medium heat while continuing to stir until thickened into porridge.
  3. Separate the dough into two parts. Give a red coloring to one part and stir until evenly distributed.
  4. Prepare banana leaves or pandan leaves that have been formed by a nustain. Fill each sample with the dough, starting from the white mixture at the bottom, then coat with a red mixture on it.
  5. Pin the tip of the nustong with a bamboo stitch to be neat.
  6. Steam the pasung cake for 20-25 minutes until cooked. Lift and chill.
  7. Pasung cakes are ready to be served or put in a celebration box.
