TRIBUNENWS.COM, BANDUNG – Head of the West Java Social Service, Dodo Suhendar, said that currently there are 14 public kitchens in 14 sub-districts affected by the earthquake in Cianjur Regency.
One kitchen can generally supply 70,000 packages of rice per day for refugees.
Social work has become easier because Tagana members from various regions in Indonesia have come to Cianjur two weeks ago.
The food supply is also said to be very abundant and all that remains is to organize its distribution better.
“NTB sent taliwang chicken, West Sumatra sent 3 tons of rendang, all of this for residents affected by the earthquake,” he said in Bandung, Tuesday (6/12/2022).
Regarding the distribution of aid, there are still residents who report that they have not received aid.

Even though there were officials who came to provide assistance.
“Because it is abundant, there are also RW wives who hoard aid, this is a dynamic.
Then there are some people who reject localized refugee tents and choose to set up independent tents in rice fields or gardens.
“They also refused to be given assistance,” he said.
There were also 450 refugees from affected areas moving to unaffected areas such as from Cugenang to Jamali.
When they fled to another village, they still received assistance, but residents at the location where they were displaced also set up tents and became refugees.
There are even those who are not affected and are financially well-off, instead pretending to be poor to get help.
