Recommendations for teppanyaki restaurants in Jakarta


Jakarta (ANTARA) – Teppanyaki restaurants serve food cooked using a teppan, an iron skillet with a flat surface, and are usually served directly in front of guests with various cooking attractions from the chef.

Communications company Vox Populi in its press release conveyed recommendations for typical Japanese teppanyaki restaurants in Jakarta.

Here are five recommended teppanyaki restaurants.

Maison Tatsuya

Maison Tatsuya has eight branches in Jakarta, Tangerang and Bekasi. This restaurant offers a choice of teppanyaki serving sets with prices starting at IDR 288 thousand.

The teppanyaki set includes chicken, seafood, AUS Sirloin, AUS Ribeye, US Prime Striploin, Wagyu Ribeye, Wagyu Tenderloin and Wagyu Sirloin.

Each set of dishes at Maison Tatsuya is equipped with tofu, vegetables, salmon, shrimp, yakimeshi, miso soup, and three types of special sauces. Restaurant visitors can also order a la carte menu as an addition with prices starting from IDR 18 thousand.

The restaurant chef cooks dishes that will be served using teppanyaki while performing attractions such as juggling spatula, fire showand throw eggs in front of visitors.

All teppanyaki dishes at Maison Tatsuya Restaurant have received halal certificates from the Indonesian Ulema Council.

This restaurant is open from Monday to Sunday from 11.00 to 22.00 WIB. Reservations can be made via WhatsApp at 0811-9250-777.

Kazoku Teppanyaki

This restaurant is located on Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) Avenue Floor 1, Jl. Pantai Indah Kapuk Boulevard, Kamal Muara, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

Kazoku Teppanyaki offers set menus with prices starting from IDR 200 thousand as well as a la carte dishes such as mochi ice cream, tropical fruit, mango sticky rice, and banana flambe. In this restaurant, the chefs also perform cooking attractions in front of visitors.

Senju Omakase

The restaurant is at Plaza Indonesia Floor 3, Jl. MH Thamrin Kav 28-30, uses an open kitchen concept, allowing visitors to enjoy teppanyaki dishes cooked directly in front of them.

Food prices at Senju Omakase start from IDR 350 thousand. The teppanyaki serving set at this restaurant is around IDR 900 thousand. Apart from that, visitors can choose from a variety of a la carte menus, drinks and desserts.

Senju Omakase is open every day from 11.00 to 22.00 WIB. Orders can be made by calling (021) 45853616.

Fujin Izikaya

This restaurant is on Jl. Gunawarman No 21, Selong, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. Like most teppanyaki restaurants, Fujin Izakaya displays cooking attractions in front of visitors.

This restaurant’s teppanyaki dishes include: saikoro steak, beef garlic cream, and​​​​​​​ Beef Yakiniku. Prices start from IDR 100 thousand. Visitors can also order premium beef with prices starting from IDR 300 thousand.

Fujin Izakaya is open from 11.00 to 24.00 WIB. Reservations can be made by calling 08119920678.

Koi Teppanyaki

Koi Teppanyaki Restaurant ​​​​​​​is at Mal Kelapa Gading 3, Food Court Area, Floor 3, Jl Boulevard Raya No. 1, North Jakarta. This restaurant, which has been around since 1997, already has a number of branches in Jabodetabek.

The price of food at this teppanyaki restaurant is around IDR 30 thousand for the ala carte and Simple Set menus, and IDR 50 thousand for the Combo menu. Servings include beef, chicken, salmon and seafood.
