KOMPAS.com – Wedang secang can be enjoyed without milk and sugar or with the addition of these two ingredients.
If you like it sweet, you can add sweetened condensed milk and sugar. The dosage can be adjusted to suit individual needs.
This warm drink from empon-empon is not only made from secang, but also has ginger and lemongrass added to it.

- 100-150 gr ginger
- 1 liter of water
- 20 grams cup
- 3 stalks lemongrass (crushed)
- 2 pandan leaves
- 100-150 gr granulated sugar
- 1/4-1/2 tsp salt
- 75-100 ml sweet thick
How to make milk cup wedang
1. Grill the ginger over a fire until blackish brown and fragrant. Peel, then bruise. Sishkan.
2. Add water, ginger, secang, lemongrass and pandan leaves to the pan. Boil until the liquid changes color, the spices are absorbed, and smells good.
3. Add granulated sugar and salt, stir until the sugar dissolves. Remove, strain, discard the dregs.
4. Add sweetened condensed milk, stir. Serve hot.
