Recipe for Rock Sugar Ginger Wedang, a Warm Drink to Relieve Colds


KOMPAS.com – When the weather is cold or your body feels unwell, a glass of rock sugar ginger tea can be a lifesaver.

This traditional drink is not only warm and soothing, but also effective in relieving the symptoms of colds.

The ingredients needed are easy to find on the market, including red ginger, lemongrass, pandan leaves and rock sugar.

  • 100 grams red ginger (roasted and crushed)
  • 1 stalk lemongrass
  • 1 pandan leaf
  • 1 lime (squeeze the juice)
  • 2 lumps of rock sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 liter of clean water
