Recipe for Lemongrass Ginger Wedang, a warm drink that is rich in benefits


KOMPAS.com – Lemongrass ginger drink is a traditional drink that is very suitable to be enjoyed in cold weather. Apart from warming the body, this drink is also known to have various health benefits.

The combination of ginger and lemongrass produces a distinctive aroma and soothing taste. Added with a little sugar, this wedang is the right choice for relaxation.

Material

  • 15 cm ginger, clean
  • 5 stalks of lemongrass, cleaned
  • 500 ml water
  • 2.5 spoons of granulated sugar
  1. Grate the cleaned ginger until smooth.
  2. Crush the lemongrass stalks to release their distinctive aroma.
  3. Boil ginger and lemongrass in water mixed with granulated sugar.
  4. Let it boil until the aroma of ginger and lemongrass comes out, then remove from heat.
  5. Strain the lemongrass ginger drink to separate the dregs.
  6. Serve the lemongrass ginger drink warm for the best sensation.
