- 200 gr rice
- 50 gr galangal (clean, roast)
- 50 gr ginger (clean, roasted)
- 2 pandan leaves
- 1/2 tsp fenugreek
- 10 cardamom pods
- 1/2 tsp cubeb
- 300 gr brown sugar
- 100 ml boiling water
- 1,500 water
- Salt to taste
- Wash the rice, then drain. Then roast it, then soak it in boiling water for about two hours.
- In a container, add the soaked rice, roasted galangal and ginger, fenugreek, cardamom, cubeb and salt. Blend until smooth.
- Sugar water. Pour water into a pan, boil the brown sugar and pandan leaves until the sugar dissolves and the mixture boils.
- Mix the sugar water with the blended kencur rice. Strain before serving.
