Recipe for Fruit Chocolate Roll Sponge Cake, Soft and Not Cracked

Material

  • 75 grams of wheat flour
  • 25 grams of cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 100 grams margarine
  • 10 egg yolks
  • 1 egg white
  • 100 grams of granulated sugar
  • Paper for rolling cakes
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Stuffing:

  • 200 ml liquid milk
  • 25 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons wheat flour
  • 50 grams of granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 150 grams of canned fruit cocktail (drained and chopped)

How to make fruit chocolate roll sponge cake

  1. Mix the flour, cocoa powder and vanilla, then sift until smooth. Beat the margarine until soft, add the egg yolks and granulated sugar little by little while continuing to beat until fluffy.
  2. Prepare a 30 x 30 cm baking pan, spread with margarine and line with baking paper. Pour the mixture into the tin, spread evenly, then bake in the oven at 180°C for 7 minutes.
  3. Mix liquid milk, cornstarch, wheat flour, granulated sugar and vanilla in a saucepan. Cook the mixture until it boils and thickens, add chopped fruit cocktail, stir until smooth.
  4. Turn the cooked sponge cake over onto the paper sprinkled with powdered sugar, roll it gently while it is still warm. Unroll, spread the filling onto the surface, then roll again until neat.
  5. Cut the rolled sponge cake according to taste and sprinkle with powdered sugar for decoration. Serve fruit chocolate cake rolls as a sweet snack or dessert.
