KOMPAS.com – Cah kale is usually cooked with shrimp paste and onion. This time, try the variations in the form of cah kangkung teri jengki for dinner.
The Teri Jengki is medium sized. Before being processed, soak anchovies into the water first for a few moments to make it more tender.

- 2 bunch of water spinach (set aside the roots, cut, clean)
- 50 grams of teri jengki (brew, fried dry)
- 5 shallots (thin iris)
- 2 cloves of garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 teaspoon of shrimp paste (grilled, puree)
- 3 large red chili (set aside seeds, thinly sliced)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 100 milliliters of water
- 2 tablespoons of oil (to saute)
How to make anchovies water spinach
- Heat the oil in the pan, add the onion, garlic, shrimp paste, and red chili. Fry and cook until fragrant.
- Add kale, cook again until slightly withered. Next season with salt, stir and cook.
- Pour water and cook until the water is absorbed. Lift the spinach, then serve with Teri Jengki who has been fried.
