Indonesia should be proud of its ranks culinary highlighted by the world. Latest, site Taste Atlas included two typical Indonesian culinary delights in the list of the best soups in the world.
This year, rawon dishes from East Java and Betawi soto are included in the list of the top 10 best soups in the world. Both of them even beat the popularity of ramen which is loved by many people.

Rawon sits in second position, followed by Betawi soto in third position. This list was just released on Thursday (15/8) on the official Taste Atlas website.
Both are below vori-voria dish from Paraguay that is in the top position. This soup is described as a soup containing beef or chicken accompanied by dumplings made from corn and cheese.
In his home country, vori-vori very popular during winter. The yellowish turmeric sauce gives a warm taste when tasted.

Meanwhile, Rawon is described as a dish containing beef sauce combined with traditional spices from Indonesia.
Taste Atlas also highlights kluwek as the main ingredient in rawon. Kluwek is one of the ingredients that makes rawon sauce blackish in color.
Meanwhile, Betawi soto is described as beef soup with coconut milk sauce enriched with a variety of spices from Indonesia.
