1. Intention of Isha Prayer

Ushalli fardhol ‘isya’i arba’a rak’ataini mustaqbilal qiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala

Meaning: I intend to pray the four rak’ah fardu ‘Isha prayers facing the Qibla as a makmum/imam because of Allah Ta’ala

2. Intention to perform morning prayers

Ushalli fardhol subhi rak’ataini mustaqhbilal qibla ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala

Meaning: I intend to pray two rak’ahs of fardu Fajr prayers facing the Qibla as a makmum/imam because of Allah Ta’ala

3. Intention for Midday Prayer

Ushalli fardhol dzuhri arba’a rakatain mustaqhbilal qiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala

Meaning: I intend to pray the fardhu Dhuhur prayer four rak’ahs facing the Qibla as a makmum/imam because of Allah Ta’ala

4. Intention for Asr Prayer

Ushalli fardhol ashri arba’a rak’ataini mustaqbilal qiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala

Meaning: I intend to pray four raka’at of the fardu ‘Asr prayer facing the Qibla as a makmum/imam because of Allah Ta’ala

5. Intention for Maghrib Prayer

Usholli fardhol maghribi tsalasa rak’ataini mustaqbilal qiblati ada-an ma’muman/imaaman lillahi ta’ala

Meaning: I intend to pray three rak’ahs of fardu Maghrib prayer facing the Qibla as a makmum/imam because of Allah Ta’ala

Notes:

• If you pray alone, use adaan pronunciation

• If you become a makmum, use the pronunciation ma’muman

• If you become a priest, use the priestly pronunciation
