JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemenekraf) has conducted chef training for the free nutritious meal program.
This chef training program was held in five cities, namely Solo, Kupang, Balikpapan, Medan and Makassar with a total expenditure of IDR 1.2-1.5 billion.
“The training budget is approximately Rp. 300-400 million per city. So for five cities, around Rp. 1.2-1.5 billion,” said Acting Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design at the Ministry of Creative Economy, Yuke Sri Rahayu, at the final press conference. year at the Sapta Pesona Building, Central Jakarta, Friday (20/12/2024).

Previously, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka carried out a free nutritious meal program since the 2024 election campaign.
This chef training is part of quick winsa government priority program that was boosted in the first 100 days.
Yuke said that the Ministry of Creative Economy had coordinated with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) as a stakeholder regarding the free nutritional meal program.

Around 30 people in each city are trained by professional chefs to create food menus from local ingredients.
“Since the appointment of a new chef will be carried out in 2025, we finally, in coordination with BGN, invited local catering associations and catering entrepreneurs to take part in this activity,” he said.
The associations collaborated with by the Ministry of Creative Economy are the Indonesian Jasaboga Organizers Association (PPJI) and the Indonesian Jasaboga Companies Association (APJI).

A total of hundreds of participants who took part in this cooking training were recommended to BGN as alternative chefs in cities throughout Indonesia for the free meal program.
The participants are not only taught to make food menus from local ingredients, but also trained to prepare nutritious food menus with a budget of IDR 10,000.
“Hopefully in 2025 it will continue so that many chefs will benefit from insight into creating new menus in the free nutritious meal program,” concluded Yuke.
