KOMPAS.com – If you’re making chicken satai for New Year’s Eve, it wouldn’t be right if you didn’t make peanut sauce.
Peanut sauce is easy to make with peanuts, brown sugar, garlic, candlenuts and sweet soy sauce.
Peanut sauce served with shallots, lime and cayenne pepper. Check out the recipe for making it as follows.

Peanut sauce recipe
Material:
- 250 grams of peanuts
- 10 cloves of garlic
- 4 candlenuts
- 6 tablespoons fried onions
- Brown sugar, fine comb to taste
- Sweet soy sauce to taste
- Enough cooking oil to fry the peanuts
Complementary:
- Red onion to taste, thinly sliced
- Lime to taste
- Cayenne pepper to taste, fry and puree

How to make peanut sauce:
1. Fry peanuts with garlic and candlenuts until cooked, then drain.
2. Peanuts, brown sugar, garlic, salt and candlenuts are crushed by grinding. Add the fried onions, then grind them again until they are really smooth.
3. Peanut sauce is added with enough boiling hot water and sweet soy sauce. Stir well.
4. Add lime juice and crushed chilies if you want to get a fresher and spicier peanut sauce taste.
