Palm Sugar Milk Tea Recipe, Complete with Chewy Boba

Palm sugar milk tea ingredients:

  • 1200 milliliters of clean water
  • 63 grams of dry boba
  • 2 tablespoons black tea leaves
  • 45 grams of brown sugar
  • 240 grams of ice cubes
  • 59 milliliters of milk
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed

How to make palm sugar milk tea:

  1. Boil 480 milliliters of water in a small saucepan, then add the dried boba and cook, stirring gently, until the boba floats to the surface of the water.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium then let the boba simmer until soft and dark in color, about 25 minutes. Remove the pot of boba from the stove, then cover and let sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a separate pan, boil 480 milliliters of water and brown sugar until dissolved. Then soak the boba and brown sugar syrup for about 15 minutes.
  4. Pour the boba into a serving glass, then add the tea, ice cubes and sweetened condensed milk to the glass, then serve immediately.
