TRIBUNNEWS.COM, PADANG – The Padang City Government will hold three competitions for 98 mayors throughout Indonesia who will come to Padang City, West Sumatra Province (Sumbar), Friday (22/7/2022).
The city of Padang has been entrusted to host the XV APEKSI Padang 2022 National Working Meeting.
Therefore, in preparation for the arrival of mayors throughout Indonesia, the Padang City Government is improving tourism in Padang and other facilities.
Head of the Padang City Tourism Office, Eri Sanjaya, said that three competitions would be held to enliven the 2022 APEKSI XV National Working Meeting.
“The competition we are holding is in the form of a marandang (rendang making) competition, making talua tea (egg tea) between mayors throughout Indonesia,” said Eri Sanjaya.
This competition will be held on August 9 2022. Furthermore, there will also be an Archipelago Cultural Parade Festival activity with 98 mayors throughout Indonesia.
This parade will be held at around 19.00 WIB on August 9 2022 in the Puruih Beach area of Padang.
“This, apart from holding APEKSI, also introduces tourism and culture in the city of Padang. We will have guests from all the mayors of Indonesia,” he said.
Eri Sanjaya hopes that the community’s economy will improve in various divisions by increasing the number of visits.
“We hope to enliven this activity. For implementation from 7-10, all hotels in Padang City are full,” said Eri Sanjaya.
