Sukiyaki Steamboat is a type of hot pot from Japan which consists of meat, vegetables, tofu, noodles and various other fillings cooked in a sweet and savory spicy sauce. In Japan or restaurants, this food is served and cooked directly at the dining table.

This food has a recipe that is simple and practical enough to make yourself at home, so it often becomes a choice and trend for new food dishes to accompany the end of the year moments.

With this easy home-style recipe, you don’t need to go to an expensive restaurant to enjoy this dish, because you can make this simple recipe yourself according to your taste.

Home style Sukiyaki Steamboat recipe

1. Ingredients:

  • Various suki-suki 500 grams (Crabstick, Dumpling, Meatballs, Tofu seafood, Odeng, Cikuwa, and others)
  • Beef slices 100 grams
  • Shrimp 100 grams
  • Enoki Mushrooms 60 grams
  • Mustard greens 500 grams (to taste)
  • Noodles 1 pack
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp
  • Sweet soy sauce 1 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce 1/2 tsp
  • Cayenne pepper 5 pieces
  • Onion 1 piece
  • 1 stem spring onion
  • Sesame oil 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste)
  • Sugar (to taste)
  • White pepper powder (to taste)
  • Enough water)

2. How to make it:

  • Slice all ingredients such as onions, enoki mushrooms, vegetables and various suki-suki to the desired size.
  • Prepare stir-fry spices. Add enough garlic and saute until brown over low heat.
  • Boil water in a pan, then add the sautéed spices and sliced ​​onions.
  • Add flavorings such as salt, Worcestershire sauce, sweet soy sauce, tomato sauce, sugar and pepper. Then, stir until evenly mixed.
  • Once the sauce feels right to your taste, add all the contents of the suki-suki such as shrimp, dumplings, crabsticks, meatballs, mustard greens, and others. When it is half cooked, add the enoki mushrooms and spring onions.

Sukiyaki Steamboat soup can be made with a variety of other flavors, such as tomyum, spicy, or chicken broth. If you want a spicy taste, add more instant tomyum seasoning or cayenne pepper, until the sauce is red.
