Here are 5 healthy benefits for the body if you eat fish regularly.

Fish contains omega-3 fatty acids which are beneficial for health. A study found that these fat levels can make you live five years longer than usual.

Researchers have analyzed 2,200 people over the age of 65. They found four types of fatty acids contributed positively to human life expectancy.

One type of acid is omega-3 fatty acids. In 100 grams of salmon there is 2,260 mg of omega-3 fatty acids

The unsaturated fat content can also help balance cholesterol levels and prevent heart disease. This has been proven by a study that followed 152 pre-diabetic patients.

Some of them were fed two 200 gram cans of sardines every week. It was later found that the number of high-risk patients following a fish diet decreased from 37% to 8%.

100 grams of sardines contain 1,480 mg of omega-3 fatty acids.
