Nastar Cheese Recipe, Favorite Chinese New Year Dish


KOMPAS.com – Nastar is one of the cakes that must be available during Chinese New Year for serving or hampers.

You can make cheese pineapple using egg yolks, margarine, butter, wheat flour, milk powder, vanilla powder and grated cheddar cheese.

Meanwhile, the ingredients for the filling include pineapple, cloves, cinnamon and granulated sugar. Check out the following recipe for cheese nastar which is easy to make.

Pineapple Ingredients:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 500 grams margarine
  • 60 grams butter/butter
  • 750 grams of wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp powdered milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder
  • 225 grams of grated cheddar cheese

Contents:

  • 4 pineapples, peeled and grated
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 500 grams of granulated sugar

Spread ingredients:

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp liquid milk

How to make cheese pineapple:

1. Fill with pineapple: cook the grated pineapple on the stove over low heat, try to use a non-stick pan.

Add all the jam ingredients, stir and cook until dry.

2. Remove and place in a package while airing and store in the refrigerator so that it is easy to form small balls.

3. Nastar: beat the margarine, butter, and powdered sugar just until mixed well for about one minute.

4. Add grated cheese, stir with a spatula.

5. Add the flour mixture, milk powder, and vanilla powder, stir well, and until the dough is smooth.

6. The dough is ready to be formed.

7. Flatten the dough, fill it with filling (according to taste), and shape it according to taste, place it in a baking dish that has been smeared with margarine.

8. Bake in the oven at 150 degrees Celsius until half cooked, approximately 15 minutes (adjust each oven).

9. Once half cooked, remove from the oven, wait for it to cool (it must be cold, so that the nastar shines) then spread with the spreading agent.

Bake again in the oven, and lower the temperature to approximately 120 degrees Celsius (so the spread doesn’t break).

10. Once cooked and golden, remove from the oven, wait until it is firm and the steam has disappeared before placing it in a jar.
