Milk Cheese Bolen Recipe, Can Be Used as Christmas Hampers


KOMPAS.com – You can make Banana Bolen as a typical souvenir from Bandung yourself at home.

You can make milk cheese bolen made from puff pastry crust, margarine or butter, powdered sugar, powdered milk, cheese essence, medium protein flour, cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese.

Material:

  • Skin puff pastry ready to use, cut a rectangle measuring 30 cm x 10 cm (for small molen) or measuring 30 cm x 15 cm (for large molen)

For content A:

  • 300 grams margarine/butter
  • 200 grams of powdered sugar
  • 100 grams of powdered milk
  • 1 tsp cheese essence

For content B:

  • 300 grams of medium protein flour, toasted briefly
  • 150 grams cheddar cheese, grated
  • 50 grams of grated parmesan cheese

For spread A (mix well):

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 tsp egg yolk coloring

For spread B (mix well)

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 50 ml water or plain liquid milk

1. Create content: Beat ingredient A briefly, just until the sugar dissolves. Add ingredient B, stir well. Form a long roll with a diameter of approximately three centimeters.

2. Take the skin puff pastry, Prick with a fork to form a motif. Place the milk cheese filling on the edge, roll it up and seal the edge with a little water.

Cut into pieces approximately five centimeters long, place in a baking dish that has been smeared with white butter and sprayed with a little water.

3. Brush the surface with spreading agent A, then bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Once cooked, hot spread with spreading agent B.

Tips:

To make it easier to cut the cake that has been filled with milk cheese, it is best to put the cake inside first freezer for a few moments so that the milk cheese filling freezes and the pieces look neat.
