KOMPAS.com – If you want to eat a savory snack, you can try tempeh mendoan. This tempeh, coated in seasoned flour and half-fried, is suitable to be enjoyed while it is still warm.
So that the texture is crispier, fry it a little longer in quite a lot of hot oil. You can also add pieces of lime leaves to make it more fragrant.

Material:
- 300 grams tempeh (thinly sliced into rectangular shapes)
- 2 spring onions (finely sliced)
- 100 grams of rice flour
- 1 tablespoon wheat flour
- 125 milliliters of water
- Sufficient cooking oil
Mendoan tempeh seasoning ingredients:
- 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 1 red onion (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon coriander (finely ground)
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt
- Put the rice flour, wheat flour, garlic, shallots, coriander, pepper and salt into a bowl to mix. Add water gradually while stirring until the mixture is even and not too thick.
- Add the sliced spring onions to the flour mixture. Stir until evenly mixed.
- Dip each tempeh slice into the flour mixture until the entire surface is coated.
- Pour cooking oil into a frying pan to heat. Fry tempeh in hot oil over medium heat until golden brown, but still slightly soft in the middle. Lift and drain. Serve with cayenne pepper and soy sauce.
