This white coffee from Ipoh is quite special and very popular in Malaysia. Even though the name is white, this coffee actually has a brown color like milk coffee in general. The name white is taken from the sweetened condensed milk which makes the taste even more sticky and sweet.
Another characteristic of Ipoh white coffee lies in the technique of roasting the coffee beans using margarine, before grinding and brewing. This technique produces a better tasting coffee with a hint of caramel.
This coffee has close links with Peranakan culture and immigrant people from Hainan who settled in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, in first place is Espresso Freddo, coffee from Greece which is ranked the tastiest coffee in the world. This iced coffee has been popular since 1990 until now.
